Andean Condor Feeding
|ask about the andean condors >>>|
In 2002, eleven Andean Condors were introduced into the Puracé National Park. Unfortunately only three condors still remain and one of the best ways to see these magnificent creatures up close is to join us on a condor feeding trip.
Departing from Popayán at 6.30am, we drive for 1.5 hours into the Kokonuco Indigenous reserve where we will be taken to the feeding rock by our indigenous guide. If weather permits and with a little luck, one (or all) of the three condors will make an appearance and feed on the rock just 3m from our viewing area.
After our visit to the condor rock, if time permits we will take a small trek in the Páramo area before returning to Popayán at around 3pm.
